Submission Guidelines

Register for an ASSYST (Former Cocus) account
- Visit this link to register. Upon registering, a password will be emailed to you.
Login
- Once registered, you can login here
Submit Paper
- Upon a successful login, you will see the Main Interface. Click on 'Submit paper'.
- You will see the list of current conferences in Cocus that are still open for submissions. Click on 'Submit a paper', next to the conference to which you wish to submit your paper.
- On the next screen, you will see the conference information and a link to submit your paper. Click on this link.
- Select the paper type you wish to submit.
- Enter the title, abstract and topic information for your paper, and click 'Next'.
- On the next screen you will see the information you have just entered. Verify it, and if correct, click on 'Submit'. If the information is not correct, click on the Back button of your browser and go back to the previous screen.
- The next screen will show you information about the abstract you uploaded, its status, and more. From this screen, you can modify the details of your submission, add or remove authors, and more.
- On the same screen, click on 'Submit', next to Manuscript on the right side, to upload your paper.
- Click on 'Browse' and find your document on the computer, then click 'Submit'.
- You will be taken back to the main page of your paper upload status. From here, you can upload an updated version of manuscript at any time.
3. Register for the Conference
If your paper was accepted, you will be asked to Register.
- One author for each paper must register at a non-student rate, even if all authors are students.
- One registration covers two papers for those authors who have multiple papers accepted.
- Please go to the Registration page to register for the conference. IMPORTANT: Your paper will not be included in the proceedings unless you have successfully registered.
4. Final Paper Submission
- After you have uploaded your final paper, you will be asked to fill out a Copyright Form, either electronically or via Fax.
The deadline for uploading the Camera-Ready version and for registering to the conference is July 23th, 2009. You will be able to keep updating your Camera-Ready paper until then. Please note that Camera-Ready papers:
- should be uploaded using the ICST Assyst Proceedings system; and
- have to comply with the ACM format.
- Please add the following sentence in the first page: "Permission to make digital or hard copies of all or part of this work for personal or classroom use is granted without fee provided that copies are not made or distributed for profit or commercial advantage and that copies bear this notice and the full citation on the first page. To copy otherwise, or republish, to post on servers or to redistribute to lists, requires prior specific permission and/or a fee. Mobimedia'09, September 7-9, 2009, London, UK. Copyright 2009 ICST 978-963-9799-62-2/00/0004 ... $5.00"
- Conference papers are allowed up to 7 pages and short papers are allowed up to 4 pages, including all figures, tables and references. Extra pages (a maximum of 2 for both regular and short papers) will incur additional charges of EUR 130 per page.
Camera-Ready Papers Submission Instructions:
- Please, register to the conference. Note that without registering first (via the conference website), you will not be able to upload your camera-ready paper.
- Log in to ASSYST with the password you have received from the system. If you cannot find or remember your password, please use the Reset Password function.
- Once you have logged in, please go to "My Profile" in the main menu and fill out all the mandatory fields of your profile. Without completing this step, the system will not let you proceed. If you already filled in your profile in the system previously, this step is not required.
- After filling out all the fields in "My Profile" please, click on SAVE. You cannot go further without filling out all the mandatory fields.
- Select the conference/workshop from the list, where you want to submit your camera ready paper.
- Click on "Upload Camera Ready Paper".
- Please, provide information on your paper, such as Title, Abstract and Keywords. Click on NEXT.
- On the next page please, add all the co-authors of your paper by clicking on "Add Additional Authors". After you have added all the co-authors, please, click on NEXT.
- Copyright:
- ASSYST will automatically generate the Copyright agreement from the data you have provided on the previous pages.
- Please, check your data carefully and in case there are any discrepancies go back and edit them.
- When everything is correct, read the terms of the copyright agreement.
- Please, do not forget to scroll down the text in the text-box before you click on "I Agree".
- You can also print the text by clicking on "Print" button.
- In the pop-up window you have to confirm your agreement by choosing: "I confirm that I agree to the terms".
- After agreeing to the Terms, you will receive an e-mail confirmation from ICST with a link and an electronic version of the Copyright Agreement in a PDF file. This is the document that you must keep for further references. YOU CANNOT UPLOAD YOUR PAPER WITHOUT AGREEING TO THE COPYRIGHT FORM.
- After completing the copyright agreement step, you can upload your camera ready paper.
- If you need to make any further modifications on your paper, you may do so by clicking on the "Manage my Papers" and "View my Papers" link up until the Camera Ready Deadline is over.
- Please, do not forget to accept the Copyright Terms every time you modify your paper!
