The Oulu Airport is located in Oulunsalo, about 15 kilometres south-west of Oulu city centre. The flights to Oulu are via Helsinki. Getting from airport to the city centre is best accomplished by either bus or taxi.
How to get from the airport to the city centre
There is a regular Koskilinjat local bus service - route no. 19. A single fare from the city centre to the airport costs approx. 4,00 euros and from Linnanmaa (where VTT is located) to the airport around 5 euros.
There is a taxi pole in front of the airport building. The fee from airport to centre is around 25 euros. Usually there are enough taxis, but it also possible to pre-book a taxi by calling to +358 600 30081 (this is adviced especially if you arrive very late with luggage).

How to get from hotels to the Conference venue?
The Conference takes place at VTT Oulu, Linnanmaa, street address: Kaitovayla 1, c.. 7 kilometers north from city centre. Koskilinjat bus 19 (the same line as from the airport to the centre) drives near the VTT building, bus stop is at Teknologiantie 1. The bus drivers are helpful in pointing out the correct stop.
