Call for Special Sessions and Workshops

7th International Mobile Multimedia Communications Conference
5-7 September 2011 - Cagliari, Italy
CALL FOR PROPOSALS:
Following the successful track of special sessions and workshops held during the last Mobimedia edition, Mobimedia 2011 welcomes half/full-day-length special sessions and workshops focused around interdisciplinary research on Pervasive Media Networks and Applications, specifically targeting:
- Definition of QoE (Quality of Experience) for emerging services
- QoE and QoS for mobile multimedia
- Architectures for the management of the QoE in emerging multimedia services
- Multimedia traffic management
- Multimedia source and channel coding
- Dynamic spectrum access for multimedia communications
- Multiple video descriptions for wireless communications
- Multimedia transcoding for heterogeneous wireless channels interoperability
- Video streaming over wireless channelsLow-bit rate video coding
- Error control resilience and concealment
- Mobile video testbeds and applications
- Multimedia services, business models and concepts
Proposals should focus on more specific research fields than the main conference, gathering specialized audience and researchers with common interests and expertise.
Proposals on emerging topics that are likely to generate significant interest and impact in the research community will be highly preferred. Proposals closely related to ongoing related projects within the current 7th Framework Programme (FP7) are strongly encouraged. Workshops and special sessions will be held in conjunction with the main track of the conference.
